This was our back yard yesterday morning...a winter wonderland
This was our live Christmas tree one of the first years we lived in our house. Now it is in the front yard and looked so pretty with the snow fall on Sunday night.

Christmas...better late than never
We had a very busy Christmas season. Mel and I enjoyed spending time with Kaeden & Kailer while Jen & Steve were down for the weekend & Christmas holiday. On Saturday before Christmas I took Kaeden and Lexi to see the Chipmunk movie. They enjoyed it & it was fun for me to take them. Then Kaeden & Kai came over and we made sugar and Chocolate chip cookies for Santa Claus. While we were doing that, Jenny & Steven did some last minute shopping. It was a fun night. Then on Christmas eve Jennifer, Steven, Kaeden & Kai met us at Trinity Lutheran Evangelical Church for the candlelit service. It was very nice to have them here to go with us, and Kaeden is getting old enough to understand it. He wanted to go and did very well there. Afterwards, they came over and we had taco soup & homemade cornbread. Jared, Tammy & her family had went to Lexington to visit some of her family.
Then on Christmas morning, Mel and I went to Jared's and watched the kids have a wild time opening gifts. They all did pretty good at sharing things and opening in an orderly manner. Tammy's mom was also there, and then later in the day Aaron was there. Mel and I came home & made the turkey, then took it back over for Christmas dinner. It was so fun to watch Kai & Quintin take turns pushing each other in the tonka truck Kailer got from Santa. It started snowing early evening & started sticking. Jen and Steven made it home ok, and we were all thankful for a wonderful celebration of Jesus's birthday.
