It has been awhile...

I have had so many things going on in my life lately...I know, not an excuse to not write. This might be short this time again, but I will eventually get time to sit down and add more.

Hmmm, let's see. Jared and Tammy's wedding is 6 days away. I have been very busy working on alot of things for it. One of the most recent things I have done is a ribbon on the handle & the bow for the back of the wagon that Quin and Kai are going to be pulled down the isle in. I will try to put a picture of it on here. I have all of the church pew bows done, the cake knife and server set done, the toasting goblets done, the Unity candles done, Kai and Quin's outfits done, the birdcage card holder done, and Tammy and her cousin, Angie came and helped me with the center pieces. Jared and Tammy helped with ribbon on the bubbles too. Also, Cassandra from the Daisy bucket helped with the pew bows. I appreciate everyones help!

I have had several sad events in my life lately. My cat, Drexler Jordan died on our door step, and Jared came and helped me bury him since Mel wasn't home. My nephew was in a car accident on Mothers day. Thankfully he is ok, and everyone else involved is out of the hospital. Then on May 12th an aunt of mine in Missouri passed away due to a massive brain hemmorage. I helped Mom and Dad get their plane tickets and car rental together for them to fly back for the funeral etc. Then a guy who I grew up with was killed in a white water rafting accident. He was my brothers best friend. Then on May 25th, my friend Cindy lost her Dad. It was 6 days after she had lost her uncle (her dad's brother) The most recent thing was a friends nephew drowned in the Umatilla River. He was 14 years old. They all were so sad and tragic. I guess it is a good thing that I had alot to do for the wedding to keep my mind occupied.

There have also been some good things happen. There was a wonderful person who came to the Daisy bucket to teach some classes and scrap with us. Her name is Ali Edwards, and she is a contributing editor for the Creating Keepsakes magazine, and does wonderful work. She brought her mom and son, Simon with her. It was a pure joy to watch him and get to know them all. I don't know if she really realizes the impact she has on people, but I think she enjoyed her time in Hermiston. I loved the 2 classes I took of hers, and learned some new things.

My little men are growing up. Kaeden is learning more every day. He knows all of his abc's and is starting to read. He loves the computer, and if Jen tells him which keys to hit, he can type me messages on MSN. And my little Kai guy has learned to crawl, and got his first 2 teeth on Mothers day weekend. He has perfected this cute little jabber that melts my heart. He is such a serious, but obervant little guy. Then last but not least, my Mr Quintin has mastered sitting up. He jabbers at times and has the sweetest smile. Him and Kai are so opposite, but get along so well.

I got to go to the beach house and help Mel over Memorial day weekend. It was our 29th anniversary, and we spent it working on the house. We had the electrical inspection while I was there, and passed it. This last week Mel had the rough in framing inspected, and it passed too...hurray! I am so very proud of all that Mel has done to the home. He never ceases to amaze me at his abilities.

Well, this has turned into a novel, but since it has been so long, I guess it was to be expected.

I will attach some pic's of the boys and also some I took today down at the nature trails in Umatilla.

Til next time...(and hopefully it will be sooner)

Vicki
