Our little streaker...

Jennifer was getting ready to come to Hermiston for Tammy's mom's funeral, when she realized she felt a breeze, and that there was alittle more light in the hall than normal.. Well, here is what she found when she went to investigate.

Kailer had escaped to the front yard to play with Jazzi and explore the yard...since the snow was melting, he must have thought it was warm enough to be outside naked.

She said it didn't take a long time for him to want to come back in. She has "ALTERED" the front to protect his privacy. ha ha

Just had to share.

Until later, here is my little Kai Guy:

Winter snow in Hermiston...

Yesterday on my lunch hr I took this picture of the house...the snow was so pretty & sparkling in the sun.

Mr. Q with a big snowball for his Gramma...He did get me after I took the picture!

This was our back yard yesterday morning...a winter wonderland

This was our live Christmas tree one of the first years we lived in our house. Now it is in the front yard and looked so pretty with the snow fall on Sunday night.

Christmas...better late than never

We had a very busy Christmas season. Mel and I enjoyed spending time with Kaeden & Kailer while Jen & Steve were down for the weekend & Christmas holiday. On Saturday before Christmas I took Kaeden and Lexi to see the Chipmunk movie. They enjoyed it & it was fun for me to take them. Then Kaeden & Kai came over and we made sugar and Chocolate chip cookies for Santa Claus. While we were doing that, Jenny & Steven did some last minute shopping. It was a fun night. Then on Christmas eve Jennifer, Steven, Kaeden & Kai met us at Trinity Lutheran Evangelical Church for the candlelit service. It was very nice to have them here to go with us, and Kaeden is getting old enough to understand it. He wanted to go and did very well there. Afterwards, they came over and we had taco soup & homemade cornbread. Jared, Tammy & her family had went to Lexington to visit some of her family.
Then on Christmas morning, Mel and I went to Jared's and watched the kids have a wild time opening gifts. They all did pretty good at sharing things and opening in an orderly manner. Tammy's mom was also there, and then later in the day Aaron was there. Mel and I came home & made the turkey, then took it back over for Christmas dinner. It was so fun to watch Kai & Quintin take turns pushing each other in the tonka truck Kailer got from Santa. It started snowing early evening & started sticking. Jen and Steven made it home ok, and we were all thankful for a wonderful celebration of Jesus's birthday.

Mr. Quintin's 2nd birthday!!!

My youngest Grandson celebrated his 2nd birthday on December 13th. I went over and got him & we spent the day together. We got lunch at McDonalds, then came over to our house and made sugar cookies while we watched "Frosty the Snowman", "Frosty Returns", and "Rudolph". We were going to watch more, but he fell asleep. When Jared and Tammy got here they woke him up and gave him a Thomas the train toy and we put a candle on one of the sugar cookies and let him blow the candles out. It was one that kept relighting, and he got quite a kick out of that. He is quite the little guy. Tammy & Jared had his birthday party theme as Thomas the Train. I got him an engineers cap, but he wasn't really interested in it. He liked the cardboard birthday hats better. He did wear it the next day when they took him to the Maxwell train display in Hermiston to see "Santa".

I will post Christmas pictures next.

Happy 92nd Birthday Grandma & WOW...5 generation pictures!

My Grandma Velma Smith came out from Missouri with her son, Everett & his daughter, Marie. It was so great to be able to see all of them again and for her to be able to meet the 3 Great Great Grandchildren she hasn't ever met...Kailer, Quintin & Lexus. She also got to meet Steven, Tammy & Bobbi. Some of her sister, Ganel's family also came up from the Salem area. They hadn't seen her in several years either, so we had a HUGE celebration. We were celebrating her 92nd birthday while she was here. Pam, Scott & Aimee came from Canada, Mike's family from Olympia, Jennifer, Steven & kids from Ephrata, Lance's family from Ontario, Jared's family, Mel & I, & Gene's & Jim's all from Hermiston. Every mile was worth it!

We did 5 generation pictures too. We hadn't gotten to do any since we went back to her home with Kaeden when he was 3 weeks old, & he is now 5.

I took some vacation days, and we went on over to our house in Lincoln City. Marie had never seen the Oregon Coast & it was fun to get to show them our house. We even took Grandma to the Chinook winds casino and it was her first time in a casino & to play a slot machine. It rained alot while we were there, so we got to stay in the nice comfy house with the fireplace going. Marie helped me put words on the fireplace that I bought along time ago, and gave me some decorating tips. It was a great time!

We have been getting furniture for the house and getting it put in. We still need to get a mattress set for the spare bedroom. The bed is set up, so when you see the bedspread on it...it will look funny without the mattress. I just wanted to see if it matched the room like I thought it would.

We got our dining room table set right before Thanksgiving, and Mel & I got to have our first Thanksgiving meal there. It is really beginning to look like a home, and we love it!

Since I last posted here, Jennifer found out that Kailer wasn't hardly able to see out of his left eye, and he is now wearing glasses. She wasn't expecting it at all, so was very shocked when the Dr gave her this news. She called and asked me "Mom, How in the world am I going to keep glasses on my just turned 2 year old?" He broke them 2 times in the first 3 days, but they are hanging in there. She has a second pair on order. I told her that when you are a parent "You have to learn to expect the unexpected". And I told her that hopefully he will be able to see so much better that he will want to wear them.

Mr Q broke his right thumb this last week by shutting it in their front door. Poor little guy is just like his daddy used to be...an accident waiting to happen.

I think that is most of the updates at this time.
