Happy Spring!!!!!!

I will post more pictures later

I haven't updated in a long time, so will try to do this post as briefly as I can and still try to get everything in it.

We are still working on the beach house. It is getting closer. We are down to the finishing jobs. Mel got some of the work done on the retaining wall & the closet shelves and clothes rods installed 2 weekends ago, and he is going down this Thurs night to work some more. We are both going down over the 21st, and I am excited to see how it is looking. We got a 180 day extension on the building permit. We really needed it to be able to get the yard & driveway work done. In Lincoln City, this has to be completed before you can get an occupancy permit.

The kids are growing like weeds. We had a great Easter weekend. Everyone was at our house and the kids had fun coloring eggs and finding eggs that the Bunny left in the front yard.

Tammy & Jared have had a rough month and a half. First she was diagnosed with Lupus. She is tolerating it, but had her good and bad days. Then on Feb 14th her dad was hit by an off duty Sheriff in The Dalles. He was transported to Emmanuel Hospital in Portland. That weekend Jared and Tammy decided to go and see him. When they went to pick her mom up from Condon, they realized something wasn't right with her. While in Portland they took her in to the emergency room and had her checked out. They found tumors in her brain, and kept her there, then did surgery on the Monday after Valentines day. The Dr told Jared and Tammy that they think they got about 97% of them. She has since started radiation treatments in Walla Walla. Tammy's dad has been released from the hospital and is staying with his parents in Woodburn. Then Tammy was bitten by a black widow spider while sitting in their living room. The Dr at the hospital said it wasn't a black widow, even though they HAD the spider and you could see the red hourglass on the belly. She has since had to go to see other Drs several times to have it treated. Yesterday the Dr in the ER in Walla Walla had to cut it like an "X" and drain it. He didn't want to give her a shot, as he didn't want to spread the infection, so she had to bear the pain while he cut it and stuffed it with gauze to soak up the gunk in it. She is to stop in the ER every day this week to have them change the gauze when she takes her mom up for her treatments.

On to better things...We had a GREAT time with Jen, Steven, Kaeden, Kai, Jared, Tammy, Quin, Tyson, Aaron, Mom, Dad, Pam, Scott, Rob, Aimee, Lance, Bobbi, & Lexus this last weekend. Tammy & I took Quintin, Tyson & Aaron in to 60 Min photo on Friday and had pictures of them taken.

I made Jen and Steven a collage of the boys for their birthdays. I think they liked it. I know Mel sure did. I had fun making it.

I had my 49th birthday since I posted, and Pam had her 48th. Steven had his 31st, and Jennifer's 27th bday is in 4 days. Spring birthdays everywhere.

Here are some recent pictures. Enjoy.

Til next time...
